ITALIAN ORTODOX CHANTS IN THE NEW CD THE FLOWER OF IESSE

“You have come down in the womb of the Virgin as rain on the hair, Christ, and as drops that drops on the earth; the Ethiopians, the people of Tarshish, the islands of Arabia, Sheba, and Media, the rulers of all the earth, have bowed down before you, Saviour, glory to your power.

(Troparium of the ode 4 of Cosma of the canon of December 25th tone 1)

October 2017

Irini Pasi Ensemble of Turin, presents her new cd, excerpts from the last live concerts, a collection that comes at the first light of Christmas 2017 and wishes a Happy New Year 2018.

For registrations to the new year of Byzantine music formation: https://www.irinipasi.it/education/

The cd experimented with the execution of Italian orthodox chants, respecting the original score.

This allows the audience to hear the words of Byzantine poetry and understand the meaning.

Otherwise incomprehensible to those who do not speak ancient Greek fluently.

This is the long-term translation work of Irini Pasi! Follow him!
